What is the best way to find a part number?

I want to change some switches from my truck since the bulbs are burned and the controls have begun to fade as well.

These are some of the controls I wish to replace:

How do I find the correct part numbers? Most websites have these parts but they don't show pics and these parts come in many different options, so I don't know if I'm getting the right one.

Should I just take it off the truck and look at the part number? Will there be a part number on the actual part?

Look at rock auto. The pictures are small, but you can usually find everything you're looking for. There might even be a discount code in the vendor section right now too.

i just got finished changing those 3 for the same problem plus a couple more because of burnt bulbs, got all mine from a friend at GM, yours looks the same as the one in my suburban, number on door seat heater/memory switch is 15116862, the headlamp switch 15194803, and the heater/ac control head is 15855848......maybe that will help you out some
