What is the reason for the leveling lift kit

What is the purpose of the 1" leveling kits in the front of the tahoes and burbs? How much room do you get. Is it primarily cosmetic

People generally add leveling kits because they don't like the higher rear stance and/or to gain clearance to run larger tires.

How much larger can you go with 1" lift

The 'block' or 'spacer' you put in may be 1" but it amplifies to 2-2.5 after all said and done.

No, not on my '13 hoe. Went and got an alignment after and it was still close.

Personally, the slightly raised stance in the back has an appeal, it looks athletic.

I get why people going for a more urban look might want to do it though.

It lifts the front and levels it...not sure how thats 'urban'.....as 'urban' refers to city dwelling and 'suburban' refers to outside of city living so, as in my case, i wanted my truck raised up a bit....guess im a ****** hillbilly tho...

I actually thought the process lowered the back, versus raising the front. Normally lowering suspensions is a city thing, as it trades utility for appearance. So that was my thinking. Clearly I was wrong.
