What is this part?

While using the the random orbit buffer on the Yukon this weekend, something fell off when I went over the passenger side headlight, i heard something fall to the ground. This is what I found, I have no idea what it's for?

Doesn't look factory .Do you have any after market lights?

I think that's just a clip to protect the lights when they are shipped.

Agreed. Had them on my aftermarket lights.
