Hey ladies and gents. Stopping in for a couple of reasons:

1. Looking at getting rid of the Toyota and getting back into an NBS Tahoe/Yukon (GOD I miss my Yukon...)

which leads me to

2. I was looking at AutoTrader and ran across this Yukon, and the ad says it's 4WD...then I stumbled across this pic of the T-case switches:

Tcase.jpg

I've never seen this before...it isn't the standard Auto/2hi/4hi/4lo that I'm used to seeing in NBS 4x4s. What gives? Did they just drop autotrac and change 2hi and 4hi to pictograms?

Thanks...hoping the wife lets me sell the land cruiser and get back into a GM! :D

Thanks Sparks - I actually just got done using that very website to check the VIN of a Z71 I'm really interested in. ;) Unfortunately, the dealer didn't list the VIN for this one.

I think I'm gonna stick with looking at Z71's since I plan on lifting/locking it, so this Yukon is out of the running....I'm just curious if that particular button setup is an 05-up thing, or unique to the newer GMC's, or what.

just ask for the vin.

If I were still interested in this one, then I would. I've decided that I'm only looking at Z71 Tahoes because they more closely meet my needs.

I would like to know what's up with the buttons though. Two different Yukons I've seen for sale in the area have that same setup...without AutoTrac. Very odd.

Obviously the top button is for "Burnout Mode", the second for Wheelie mode, and the fourth is for the "Four-Down" mode (This is used after completing wicked awesome jumps to insure you land 4-down).

:D :D :D

Wierd. My '03 Yukon doesn't look anything like that one?!?!

I believe that is an AWD version...the buttons are for turning off stabilitrak and 4 wheel low. If I remember correctly, these are full time AWD systems and not part time like many of the newer cars/suvs on the road.

i believe its full time 4wd like the H2's are. AWD systems do not have shiftable transfer cases. like in the escalade, denali, silverado SS there is no switch panel for the tcase. the top button is for stabili-trac, the bottom button is 4LO not 4hi. im not sure about the middle one. if your going off roading with this truck this is probably better than your standard 2hi-4hi-4lo system
