what should i go with

so im having withdrawls lol from not purchasing anything lately its an addiction now haha... but i have a lil bit of money not too much but what would you guys buy if you had to buy one thing.

or i could get a street scene grille inserts the nice ones for like 116.00... this looks really good on some peoples tahoes i have seen on the site but dont know if there easy to install and would it take away from the black murdered out look of my tahoe because i color matched the grille a while ago

or i could get some 35% tint put on the front windows for like 70.00 this is illegal and still kinda iffy if i want to spend money to prob end up getting a ticket and having to remove it haha but i hate the uneven look .....

what would you go with

Well the insert is just a appearance mod, sub something you can use and hear everyday. Will you install yourself? otherwise add money for install. The insert, i love mine. I got just the brushed aluminum one, but they do make a black one that will go w/ your "black" theme. Looks good also. Couple guys on here have it.

yea i know i have been doing alot with appearance... i like the grille like you have i want to get one but how hard was it to install .... ? exactly what did you have to do.... and yes with the subs i would have to pay to get installed someone quoated me 90 i kinda want to get it under a seat .... but idk i dont want to be subbing all the time thats what sucks i only want it at times not constant so idk what to get..

To install the ss grille insert. Total time took about 30 mins. If that. And i got sidetracked. Easiest way is to take off grille, push in insert from front into the grille. then put supplied clips on the back side of the grille insert and (if i remember right) they just clip to the grille, some on the corners, the center and so on. Its not moving when they are on. Install top insert, then install bottom insert. clip it all. Re-install grille, Done..
Its easier than the instructions say. I just did it off looking at it.
and taking off the grille is easy, the chevy grille, not the ss insert.

For the subs, 90 bucks to install. Is that w/ all wires and etc. Not bad i guess, but its actually really easy to install a amp and sub. Even w/ stock radio. For only banging sometimes, im with you on that, sometimes i get annoyed w/ it, but i just turn the gain down on the amp, or turn the radio down, lol. But i like mine system.

If your doing appearance though, i say go w/ the insert, you'll like it. I dont regret it at all. Makes a big difference in the front end.

thanks tahoewhat for all that good info i decided to go with the kicker package i got it this evening for 150.00 it freaking hits at least it did in the guys silverado haha i was like damn thats one l5 10" holy crap but im taking it to get installed tommarow the shop said 80-90 bucks i wanna get a equalizer for it for under my indash flip out but i dont know how much those are i want something so i can turn down the bass from my seat..... and yea any tint on front driver or passenger windows is illegal in cali

ahh, good to know, when I bought my Bimmer out of SoCal it had 5% all the way around
Figured at least some tint was legal there.

I love My Street sene inserts but I love My subs more I am 27 and still when I ride with My boy Jose it drives Me crazy cuz he doesn't have Subs, I don't need a lot of bass, but I like a little all the time. Hell when I was in Afghanistan We put a system in our MRAP lol it was a Computer stereo system, but it had a 8" Sub and was awsome. I would be lost with out it. lol BTW I like what You are doing with Your Hoe. are you going to change the front clip?

hahah yes i have dont that before with my friend in his mustang some of those computer systems hit haha... but yea im getting all the stuff installed today with the equalizer knob in front so i can turn the sub down if i want at times .... but thanks man what you mean by my front clip ? i still really want to get some ss inserts tho...
