I know it's been discussed in various threads but I wanted to collect some information. What tires sizes do you guys recommend for the setup I've mentioned? I'm going to need tired soon and want to explore the options.

My current tire size is 285/45/22 and don't get really any rubbing... except in the front at full lock.

Options I've seen folks mention here are:
305/40/22
305/45/22

Thanks in advance!

Go 305/40, if youre dropping it(or already have)

The 305/45s are about a half inch taller than 285/45s, thats what I went with on mine, but I dont plan on lowering more than the 2" in the rear.

If you need a good deal on tires I can shoot you a PM, I got my 305/45/22 Toyo Proxes for $620 Shipped:)

You don't rub with 305/45s?

I have 305/40s, I don't rub, but I couldn't squeeze more than a **** tween my tire and liner at full lock.

Nope, still plenty of room, now if I did a 2/3 or 2/4 im sure it would rub up front some, but at stock height plenty of room. The 305/45s are 32.8" overall diameter, the 285/45s are 32.2" overall.

Strange ... I'm not lowered and the 305/40 is for sure the largest tire I can fit without rubbing the front liners.

But you have to take into consideration the width difference of the tire. That'll cause rubbing on its own.

Had them on the truck 3 weeks with no rubbing, and there are some pretty crappy roads around here:)

They really arent THAT much bigger than stock sizes, a hair over 1/4" larger on either side of the tire in diameter and less than about 1/2" wider in width(on either side again)

305/40/22s(31.6) are shorter than 285/45s(32.2)

The 305/40s are actually wider too;) 12.3" vs 12.0" on the 305/45s
