What To Watch For Before I Buy

Wanting a list of things to look for on both the 5.3 and 6.2 before buying. I know on diesels there's TONS of warning signs to watch for. Looking in the 75k mile and up category if that helps...thanks

One thing to look for is a crack in the dash - the reason I say that is because it's a fairly common problem on NNBS models (google it if you wanna know more) and if you happen to see it before you buy, you can 1. decide if that's acceptable to you, or 2. use it as a negotiating tool to drop a couple hundred bucks of the purchase price, or ask for a replacement dash.

Rust? Even in the desert SW? Being from a very cold climate originally I completely understand it there but didn't realize it would happen here.

Also another question is it worth it to get a more fully loaded truck ie nav, dvd, so on or add that stuff aftermarket? I've only had trucks that had none of it or all of it haha never went about it after purchase. But my current truck is about as fully loaded as it gets.

Yeah just surface but it's not bad at all like you think there are just some unprotected metals it's on cadillacforums.com under the escalade 07+ and under the thread "Rust" you'll get an idea I live in Washington and mine looks nothing like that but I also baby my truck hopefully more people will comment on the rust on this thread
