What type of metal is the LTZ roof rails? ( mine need polished )

Is the OEM metal on the LTZ roof rails polished aluminum, polished stainless, or chrome?

Mine are getting dull and cloudy so they could use a good polish, but I want to know what kind of metal they are so I can use the proper polish product... Tried to find out myself, but couldn't find much information regarding them...

Be careful in case they are coated. You will take the coating off with metal polish. I would just use regular car polish. The reason I say this is it looks totally different than the chrome on the front grille. Maybe someone knows what they are coated with. Good luck.
