Hey guys! I need a water pump for my 2003 GMC yukon xlt. I was planning on going to the pick n pull to get one. I was wondering what other trucks and years would work?

Thanks!

Without changing your configuration, 01-06 gmt800 trucks use the same water pump iirc.

Why would you get a used one? A new pump is cheap. Plus the effort to pull one at the yard, and then pull the one of your truck, and also any unforeseen problems, it's just not worth it.

Money is super tight right now so $15 seemed better than $100 (I thought they were that much through auto zone new).

Seeing $60 would probably make me change my mind. However, theres a part that broke on the old pump. Its the "T" that brings two hoses into one and plugs into the side of the water pump. I haven't been able to find a source for this "t" so I figured I could just grab it with the water pump.

Wikipidea says the 2003 Yukon was a GMT 830?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_GMT_platform#GMT_800

Would pretty much any of the "GMT" trucks listed in that section work for me?

Thanks everyone!

EDIT Here's the part I was talking about I think;

Would anyone know of a source for just the "T" connector?

Maybe this? If I recall the hoses are 1" and 3/4" that come together to make a 3/4" (thought I could be remembering wrong).

The "T" is part of the hose assembly. If you're on a budget you could cut the broken one out, and replace it with a barbed hose "T" and some hose clamps. You can get them in brass or plastic, the hardware store or auto parts should have them. Just cut the old one out as close to the joint as you can, so the hoses won't be too short when you join them back together.

The "T" is definitely something I'd get at the wrecking yard if money was tight. It would be easy to cut off the old hoses too. Or do what Aaron suggested.
