What's a good muffler for a 99 tahoe 5.7

Im looking for a part number for magnaflow or borla muffler for a tahoe 2 door. Im having trouble finding just a muffler thats a dual 2.5" inlet and single 2.5" or 3" outlet. Or does anybody know if borla mufflers are reversible.

Summitracing.com will probably be the easiest. I dont think much is a "direct" fit for these trucks, youll need to do some clamping or welding done. The stock mufflers on these things are like 3 feet long..

Factory dual exhaust pipe size is 2" from the manifolds (technically 1-7/8"). Factory single exhaust pipe size is 2.75"

You'll be safe with a 2.25" dual inlet muffler (or a 3" single inlet muffler)... exit diameter is up to you. As Atomic stated, you're gonna clamp or weld the connections (welding is gonna make a better bond/seal obviously).

x2 what atomic said. Virtually nothing will be a direct replacement and will require some modding of the exhaust but summit racing will probably be the easiest to get what you want. You may also get lucky on craigslist if you know exactly what you're looking for...

They're reversible. I called Borla themselves and they said they were. I have this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BOR-40349/ and turned it around to have my 2.5" duals run into it, and had a turn-down tip welded on the single outlet and dumped it right before my rear axle.

How long have you had it? Do you find it gets louder over time?

It's been almost exactly a year since ive had it and I don't think it's gotten any louder. Why would it?

Sometimes when systems break in (particularly high flow mufflers and headers), they can get a little louder. Can't hardly notice though, if you notice at all.
