What's it worth?

Looking at buying a 1997 2 door 4wd. Body is straight but needs paint. Interior is in pretty good shape but needs a good cleaning. Everything works. Vehicle is in Texas. No rust I dont think.

It has 176,000 miles. Is 2k all? I cant hardly find one for sale and they all want 7k or more. I sure hope 2k isnt the number or I may back out of the deal

Why back out at 2k? In Virginia it’s probably worth around 5k. Trucks are expensive these days and any type of truck goes high. Check kbb and look on cl or auto trader in other parts of the country to see more examples.

i just through 2k out as we had no other information. if its clean, and a strong running 176k, then i could easily see 5. depends on what else is available in your market

I paid 5k for my 98 that was very clean 175k miles

I have a 98 2 door with 280k miles. Rebuilt tranny and a rebuilt motor thats a 383 now. Mine needs paint. Interior is in excellent shape and is as clean as can be for a 21 year old vehicle. I'll probably sell it back to my brother in law who was the original owner. I plan on only asking $3500 which is a steal. I have that much in the motor. He's getting a brother in law deal at that price... These trucks are commanding a pretty good price these days.
