My lift gate won't open with the kick. I feel like an idiot trying to wave my leg around over the little GMC light logo and nothing happens.

Or be standing close to the SUV with the keys and the cat runs underneath the rear bumper and the liftgate magically opens. It's a cool unexpected trick.

Drivers door check went poooy and finally able to convince the dealer to replace it, well they did the repair and did a poor job of reinstalling the door panel...ugh. I must be getting old, my tolerance for poor work is getting be nonexistent.

Getting to where I prefer to make my own repairs as not one shop around here gives a crap about quality work.

Mine did that. Dealer found it was a faulty module. They first ordered the GMC puddle light thinking it was all one unit like it is on some other models. Not so on these. The sensor for the auto liftgate is separate from the light unit. With that replaced it's worked fine for several months now. Now the power is out on all the USB sockets in the console. I know, first world problems, right?

liftgate button (as in the physical exterior button on the liftgate) at least once a week it'll unlatch the liftgate partially, but not fully meaning a second push of the button is needed for it to fully unlatch and then open. took it to the dealer and they thought we were crazy. will probably bring it up a couple more times during oil changes but that's about it. our 21 AT4 did not do it, the 22 Z71 did it and the 23 is doing it now

Time to put on your best John Wayne face (or John Gacy) and open carry. Just put your heart into it it's all pretend at the dealership.

I got it to work by physically touching the underside of the truck with my foot. Never had to get that close with the ford versions. Can't wait to use it in the winter then get that slush all over my leg >.<
