i noticed something with my KON the other week and well..i dont really like it. so after my KON is parked for an hour or so like if go eat somewhere and i hop in it and go to take off it has no power for the first km of driving.. like when i push the gas the RPM doesnt increace over 2200 and the whole truck just boggs down. after about 2-3 mins of driving it is all normal for the rest of the ride til i turn it off and let it sit.
i got a re-manufactured tranny last year could this be the problem? i checked all my fluids and all are full and clean. i probally have no more than 5-6000 km on my tranny..
now i know nothing about transmissions but could the torque converter be draining of ATF some how when it sits?
totally need some help cause me and the little women decided we were going on a holiday to South Dakota in about 5 weeks(2200km one way) dont want any problems that far from home..
thanks RORy.

well i just got in contact with the shop owner(transmission shop) and he told me it sounds like the fuel filter that is located on the frame rail that is probally plugged and to check that first. the tranny shop is 250 km away..so i guess thats what i will do.does this sound like the problem?

Is there anyway you could have a plugged up exhaust? Like an old cat coverter or bad front O2 sensors? I'm pretty sure clogged cats can bog your engine down untill it gets warm.

Holiday in South Dakota, huh? Right on.....

Seafoam it. could be dirty/clogged injectors

Inspect the color of your catalytic converters. Are they toasty looking? Do they glow once the truck is warmed up? Do they rattle if you smack them?

if you had a clogged cat you would get a code. check and see if maybe if some of your intake tubing has come off/loose or maybe see if the TB bolts are loose.

Mine was doing something smilar to that and it was the fuel pump. Even if you replaced it 4yrs ago still could go out again. Start at the cheapest thing and work your way up.

ok so i just took it around the block again..it does seem to be aa bit better with the new FF but still not right. i am almost out of fuel also so im going to go to another gas station and fill her up with the good stuff and see if i feel a difference after work.
it only bogged for the first 15-20 seconds now with the new FF. better than 30-45 sec before..but like i said after its good, it doesnt do it again until its been parked for a bit..
