I'm looking to change the style of my Denali a little bit and put a more aggressive, offroad wheel and tire combo.

It's currently got 20" wheels on it, but I was considering dropping to a 17" and put on a bit more tire. Any reason why I can't/shouldn't do that?

What's the standard bolt-pattern and offset btw?

Thanks everybody!

6x5.5 for wheels. 17" will clear but look stupid on such a big body vehicle. Don't go below 18s with meaty tire but 20s still look great.

Thanks. Love what you've done with yours and the kind of look I'm going for, except for the lift. Well, I'd love to lift it, but then it wouldn't fit in the garage. ;)

For the brand, check out American Racing, KMC and Moto Metal. They have some nice looking rims.

Thanks! Yeah mine doesn't fit in the garage anymore, these older houses only have 7.5' doors and I need 8+ to clear. Sucks when we take it downtown cause only certain parking garages can I fit into. Anyhow if you want a meaty leveled look then do a 2.5/1 kit with some 18s on 33s

I went from aftermarket 20's to a pair of stock 2015 Silverado wheels, 18", and put 275/65-18's on

The wheels look a little small but it was quite a bit cheaper than going to the stock 20's I really wanted, plus the tires I really wanted. Maybe I'll upgrade if I find the right deal somewhere down the line.

I use a black 17" steelie for my winters and it looks fine. Actually looks way more aggressive than my 20"so for summer. I'll try to get a pic loaded later if possible.

I'd love to do that, but not much clearance on my garage. Probably still worth looking into though.

Any recommendations for where to get that kit?

I would get the cheapest decent kit off ebay. Any 2.5 kit will be stacked on upper and lower of front strut. The rear would be any black powder coat aluminum 1" spacers. Order FTS ride height rod spacers by calling them directly. You need a shock extension like this one from Terflex for Jeeps to keep the air shock from rotating.
