I've got an oil leak on the drivers side front of my truck.. it's dripping from the power steering box but i think that's only becuase that is what it is running down to and that's the lowest point.. it's oil for sure.. are those line that run above the power steering pump the oil coiler lines? if so do they leak and are they a pain to replace?

Yes those are the oil cooler lines and yes they do go bad. To be sure that they are your problem, get some Brakekleen and clean them off good and run the engine to see.

"pain to replace"-- Not really. You will need a 1/4" socket set and an extension to remove the line bracket at the oil pan. It's not in the easiest place. The end that attaches to the oil filter mount has a funky way of attaching. They will seem loose but that's the way they are. I think I pulled the oil filter mount, attached the lines then installed the mount.

Take some photographs from above and below before you take it apart to refer to when putting it back together. Sometimes you can get confused looking at things from the top then looking at the same thing from underneath.

Job should take about 1-2 hours depending on conditions. Get lots of rags.

I second what oldsalt said, sounds like your oil cooler lines common problem on these trucks, I had the same problem with my 95 Tahoe when I first got it, it's not that hard to do but I didn't feel like doing it so just took it to a shop it cost around like 250ish I think for all the oil cooler lines to be replaced, if you get under it and look up u can prolly see it leaking down cause mine was doing that and was making a puddle on the crossmember thing up front down by the radiator
