Is there an orphus tube for the rear AC? I have an 02 Yukon and the ac went bad, I replaced the compressor, the orphus tube in the front and the dryer. Everything works great, but the guarges wasnt right one the money. It blows ice cold up front, but the rear isnt getting cold enough.

When I repalce the orphus tube in the front (the compressor blew up) it was still clean, no junk in it at all.

So, I am thinking that there is maybe a tube for the rear since there is a coil back there and it may be completly plugged up from junk from the compressor. Am I right?
If so, where is it?

Thanks
Marco

i am having the same issue, i think i have narrowed it down to being a bad actuator in the rear, not moving the "hot/cold" door to the correct position... if you figure it out, let me know, i'll do the same.

and no, there is not a rear orifice tube.

here's some info i found on another forum, i don't know if it's accurate to our trucks, but it cant be too off, it's for an 02-03 trailblazer

It might also be a rear temp actuator, so I'd start with taking apart the right rear side panels to get at the HVAC unit, then run the reset procedure. Depends on your vehicle, but I'm guessing fuse #36 in the rear fuse block. WIth the ignition off, pull it for 30 seconds. Then put it in, and turn on the ignition but not the engine. Don't touch any HVAC controls for 90 seconds, and observe all the actuators go from end to end to recalibrate their rotational position sensors. If you have a problem with the rear heat actuator (item #33), it will blow hot even if cold air is available at the evaporator.
