After a few more cosco pay checks I plan on buying a borla muffler and intercooled tips. Will it be cheaper to buy it myself and have it installed? or should I buy it from my muffler shop and have them install it? Using my neighbor's welder is out of the question bc hes out of town until idk when

I always though it was much easier to just have the shop provide the parts and install.

i would say buy it yourself and go to your shop and have them install it. or bargain with the shop owner and have him settle at a reasonable price.

+1 on the costco job, christmas is around the corner, i hope they hire

Umm you buy the parts yourself it will be cheaper bc they have to make parts on money too. If you eliminate them aka the middle man youll save bucks.

If your really tight on money and handy with a welder then I would wait. Whats the rush?

It's just that I've got money A.D.D., if I don't buy the exhaust soon I'll end up blowing it on something else. I just realized I have a buddy that works at O'riellys, but can I order borla through them bc I cant seem to find that brand on their website?

Give me your money...I'll hold it for you.

Ask him if they have a Borla catalog. There is a lot of stuff they carry but they do not list it on the site sometimes.

I bought all my stuff online; cat converter, muffler, tips and gonna have a shop install it. Also make sure the shop does mandrel bends if you are going with new pipes, if not then ask what kind of bends you need and buy them online.

I had my exhaust done at a local shop where I know the owner. I got a Magnaflow muffler, Magnaflow cat, custom bent pipes, and stainless 18" tips for $350 out the door. I thought it was a good deal haha.

..Sure you have to pay me interest though, same goes for you bai78 lol jk

I was just planning on replacing the muffler and tips(I'm keeping it coming out one side bc of the denali body kit). Is there that much of a diff between cat back vs. just muffler replacement.. power/sound wise?? If I could get it all for $350 I'll definitively go that route though.

Update:
Talked to my buddy today, he says I can get Borla through O'riellys but their venders are way over-priced, so I guess I'll be going through ebay.. for at least the muffler that is.
