I recently purchased a 2010 Tahoe (62k) after having an 04 Tahoe for many years. Absolutely love these trucks. Anyway, after purchasing the truck I noticed that this truck doesn't seem to have much power. Specifically, when I am at around 1,500 RPM...Not that I'm expecting much in that range, but if I just tap the gas instead of of the RPM's going up to give me power it seems to drop down to about 1000 RPM, and feels like it shifts into the next gear. If you have ever driven a manual, it basically feels like you're in second gear going about 20mph, and it shifts into 5th gear for example. There's no power and kind of has a slight shake to it. My other Tahoe when you gave it gas you could feel it. Also, I can feel it vibrate at a stop. Are these symptoms normal? Can I do anything about them? Is this supposed to be a fuel saver?

After feels this I bought and installed the Airraid MIT, and that hasn't made anything better.

Any and all help, would be appreciated.

Get a tune. I believe the NNBS trucks have more torque management than the NBS trucks.

I tried the Diablo tune, and it was doing the same thing. Sorry, I'm not sure what NNBS and NBS system means. Thanks for the help.

Do you think that a tune will make a difference? Have you heard of this problem before?

Sounds like the truck needs to be seen by a qualified mechanic. Won't be able to diagnose on the forum.

I agree.
The problem is finding a mechanic that is qualified enough to diagnose the problem.

Chevy0071,
When do you feel the slight shaking?

I don't have a check engine light on, but I was just wondering if this is something other people have experienced/is this normal?

It slightly shakes when it's at 1500 RPM and I give it a little gas then it drops to 1000RPM and feels like it upshifts.

I have experienced this.
Slight shudder only when my converter locks up and a little chop in the idle at stops. The vibration at stops sounds like it could be a misfire. If I remember correctly, mine does it at the same rpms as yours. I'll have to check that in the morning.
