Let me know what you go with because I too eventually wanna do the high-4 mod. I originally sent DJTricky the money for one but he took my money (a whole $15) and never sent the kit. Good thing he's banned.

Will do.

I know that there are plenty of threads on how to do it yourself, but I just don't feel like it right now. And my folks asked me if there was anything I wanted for Xmas, so this would be a nice simple (and relatively inexpensive) thing to tell them :)

Well, they all do serve the same function, but they're not all the same quality. I've gotten some feedback over on FullSizeChevy. The Intellitronix had problems for at least one person; it also is not fused, which isn't that big of deal but it does show that they cut corners, which means they probably cut other corners too: cheap relays, poor solders & crimps, light gauge wire, etc. I'm familiar with Painless Wiring's products from the street rod world, so I know I can trust their stuff.

If I had the time and the interest right now I'd just make my own kit but I just wanna take the easy route this time :)

those dont work with hids, the relays are too weak. i learned that the hard way

By "those" are you referring to a particular brand? I've heard of people successfully running HID lows and halogen highs with 4-high kits, though I don't recall what kits they used or if it was DIY.

I installed the Painless kit. My folks got it for me for xmas, and found it at a local shop for just a bit over $20--so the price ended up being about the same if not a little less than the cheap kit (after you add shipping on from Stylin).

Works great, even with HID lows and halogen highs! It doesn't cut the lows when switching the highs on or off, which is great.
