I'm looking at adding a DVD radio i was thinking the Pioneer AVH P4400BH but wanted to know what else was out there thats pretty good...and it can be bypassed?

I just installed the 4400 in mine and love it!

here are the parts you need to get for onstar/chimes and steering wheel controls

Thanks i went ahead and grabbed a factory refurb pioneer 4400 off ebay for 300 bucks

That's cool. I run a 4400 myself (I think most us do). As for the cable I just plugged in my regular iPod cable and it works just fine.

Oh yeah and with that axxes module, if the sound is to low you can turn the gain up in it and make your music louder to your liking.

The cable allows you to play movies from your phone onto the 4400, though. So that's the upside of it.

Right now i can plug in my iphone in my center console and it plays the IPOD. What on the other end of the center console cable? Is that what you have plugged in?

Oh....I figured it was something extra to it. Oh well. No, once you take out you factory HU it will be no good. The 4400 has a USB port and cable that you can use.

Will is still charge?
