22s look much better. Ride is great, just as good or better than 20s. Had them on my Silverado and now on my Tahoe.

I’ve always had the 20s. I like the look of the 22” wheels better but I think the 20s ride better. While I don’t off-road much, I do have an occasion to go into a dirt field here and there. I wish the the silver rst looking wheel was available in a 20.

I just switched out my 22" for 20" with big, broad snow tires (for the coming New England winter)
HUGE difference with 20's. Smoother ride. The big General just glides along the highway on the 275/55/R 20 Yokohama Iceguard snow tires. Overall handling is much better.

why do some of you prefer the 22” tired and wheels to the 20” wheels and tire combos

22’s look awesome but the ride is horrific.

I had to special order my Denali so I could get it with 20’s.

Depends though. Magnetic ride is much tougher than non mrc so 22’s with mrc compounds the issue.

22’s look WAY better, no comparison at all. Yes, some say the ride can be a little more firm but I personally have not experienced that.

The overall body size and styling of the 2015+ SUV’s makes even the OEM 22’s look small. 20’s on these rigs look terrible IMO.

I own a ‘15 Yukon Denali XL lowered 1.5”/2.5” with 22’s and Michelin Defender LTX 285/45/22’s and the ride is excellent. So much smoother on the LTX’s then OEM Bridgestone Dueller HL’s.

Ride quality and what’s smooth and rough is very subjective. I personally love the ride of the MRC and 22’s, perfect balance of smooth and responsive IMO. I also don’t want to drive my living room sofa down the road, if I need to make a quick change in direction, speed, etc. in case of emergency I’d prefer a vehicle that could respond and handle that accordingly. Not something that’ll feel like it’s going to tip over, touch the front bumper to the road, or have so much body roll and weight shift it deserves correcting. Not all will agree...
