I bought a 2001 Yukon SLT from a dealer before it went to auction recently. The drivers headlight and passenger brake light were out. I changed the rear bulb and it worked again. The headlight started working on the way home from the parts store. But I have noticed it off again. If I tap ******* the headlight it will come on.

The brake light worked during my Utah safety inspection but following my wife the other day the brake light doesn't come on anymore.

Any thoughts?

Poor or corroded connections or bad bulbs. When you tap the bulb the filament will sometimes re-connect itself to the contacts, but that doesn't usually last long. At least not in my experience. Then, again, I have a negative Midas touch with those kinds of things. :(
