Ok guys... I have a mystery for someone to solve. My problem is with my driver side front window. Randomly the other day it stopped rolling down. I go to click the button and I do not get any action from it. It's just stuck up, which is very annoying. I was asked if "it makes any noises when I click the switch" and the answer is no; leading me to believe the motor is not broken. I then tried replacing the switch panel; and that still did not fix my problem. What's next?? I was told there are no fuses for the window, and was also told that it could be the solenoid. Any suggestions??

Also, this problem occured to me right after finishing my amplifier installation. I did not touch any wires in that door or do anything except hook the remote wire to the pink wire behind the stock deck. And attach all the other chords into the stock amplifier wires.

Sounds like your regulator is broken, I had 2 go out like that!! Not sure if it was you but have you checked for voltage at the motor plug when you push the window button?

I have yet to check the voltage. I think when I go to autozone to return the switchs I'll check that out as well. What will that determine if it does/doesnt have power? And how much was the regulator? Did you install it?

Well, if you have voltage at the motor but the window won't move, that means it's either your motor or your regulator is busted which is keeping your motor from moving at all! If you have no voltage at the plug, then more than likely your motor and regulator are fine but you have a bad switch, connection somewhere, or a fuse is out!
I've replaced 2 regulators since I've owned the truck, bought both from GM and I think each were around $100 a piece but I've seen some on Ebay for alot cheaper but not sure on their quality! And yes, I installed both myself, first one always take alot longer because you gotta learn the tricks but still was pretty easy to do!

Ok that makes sense. I need to go get a voltage meter asap then. I went to Autozone yesterday and the regulator was $99 so that isn't to bad. Thank you for all the help. I'll let you know what it is once I get that meter.
