Wires from battery negative terminal

There are two. The large one goes to the front of the engine. The smaller one, which is about 1/8" or so goes up to somewhere out of sight under the radiator. From there I can't trace it any further. I need to get to the end of this to check for tightness. Does anyone know where it goes? This is on a 2008.
