Hey all. I have a 2010 yukon Denali. Im looking to put some 24" wheels on it. Any advise about what size I can fit on this truck without having any wheel rubbing issues? I think a 295 35 24 will fit but I fear the ride in the truck will suffer. I want to go to the 24" rim, but wonder if there is a 40 or 45 sidewall?
Any one have some experience they would like to share?

Thanks

Dylan

I have 295's and I'm lowered without rubbing and rides excellent.

What are your suspension plans? Keeping it stock on 24's will make it look like a 4x4 with a bad wheel gap

Get 295 35 24. The ride will not suffer. I had stock 20s, then 24s in that size tire and the ride quality was almost equal.
They do make 295 40 24 and 285 40 24 tires but they have too much sidewall. They will make your 24s look like 22.

Like modded and nathan said ride quality, and the only rubbing issues I have is when I turn the wheel all the way left/right and when I go up my steep driveway the LR rubs a bit nothing major.

Sweet! That is great news. What about the 305/35/24? I checked a tire website & it claims it is a "Guaranteed Fit". Not sure if that would be pushing it on size? What offset would a guys br looking for? I want to make sure I'm not spitting up rocks or grime from the road on to my vehicle or others by having rubber sticking out the side. The book says to stay within the 20-35mm range. Is it better to be closer to 20 or on the other side at 35mm?

Great question. I haven't gotten that far yet. One thing I would have to keep in mind is that we live in Canada & this vehicle will still be used in the winter driving with the stock rims. So it isn't always the best idea to slam her on the ground with too much of a lowering kit. I like the look of your burgandy ride, how much in the front and back did you lower your's? Any thoughts to a 305/35/R24?

Thanks, mines a 3/5, but I'm in sunny Florida so I don't even know what winter rims are ;)

The basic difference between a 305 and 295 is 1/4 inch in diameter. Think about a completely bald 305 being the same as a brand new 295. It gives you that little extra room so you don't rub.

I ran a 305/35/24 and it rubbed in reverse @ full lock. That's it though. Ride wasn't as smooth when I had 20's but some don't think it is a big deal. I immediately went down to 22's after seeing what it did to my turning/stopping/ride quality.
