This has come and gone, but is back again: after I turn the engine off and open my driver door, it should recognize the door is open and turn the radio off etc.. What - or where- is the sensor that tells the computer that the door is open?

Thanks!

It's built into the latch so that'll have to be replaced

Yeah, it didn;t work for a couple days and now it's back to normal. Is it mechanical? Do I need to lube or clean something?

It's the mechanical latch that has an electronic switch built in. You can spray some dielectric grease inside there if you want

Thanks - I"ll give it a try. I just had the door apart a bunch of times to work on the speaker/connector too -missed my chance!

Mine started doing this last week. I've been opening and shutting the rear drivers side door as a quick way to get everything to turn off. Guess I'll be looking into the latch now.

Mine ended up being a power wire to the Driver Door Module was breaking. It finally broke and in the end the dealer found it. There are 2 power leads that come into the DDM you need to check out.
