Won't Start in Park!

99 Yukon won't start in park when engine is running, but if I turn 1 click on ignition and put in neutral it will start! Any suggestions?

Hard to say, I would be happy with mine if it didn't try to start while running?

Im assuming it wont start when you have it in park, but it will in neutral. Couple things to check:
- is it actually in park all the way, linkage could be messed up on the transmission
- possible wiring issue in the steering column, wire getting pinched when selector in park
- not sure on the location, but there is a neutral safety switch that could be malfunctioning as well
