Just ran my truck bone dry....don't ask, my bad.

Problem is I've put 5 gallons in it and now it won't start. Acts like battery is dead??!

Did it try and crank at all since you put fuel in it?

Try and jump it first. How much did you crank it after you ran out of gas?

Sounds like the battery is toast. Get a new one and prime the pump (cycle the key) a few times before you try to crank it. Hopefully you didnt burn up the pump. But dont be suprised since the pump is cooled by the gas.

My volt meter in truck is below 9

I've learned that a my truck needs about 11 volts to start.

Get a jump from somebody with a v6 or v8 (4 banger batteries aren't big enough).

I tried to jump it with my dads 08 CC silverado. Still wouldn't turn. Battery is toast for sure. It's actually a 2 year old battery after closer inspection. So it was probably time anyways. I left it sit where I stopped which is a block from the sheriffs office. In the morning I'll pick up a new battery and let you know. What does prime pump mean? Are you referring to fuel pump?
