I've got a "woowoowoo" noise (coming from left front?) of my '16 Tahoe LTZ. Most noticeable at 45 mph. It's got 92,000 all highway miles, never a problem of any kind. I first thought it was the tire, especially when I found a screw in it, then got it plugged. But the noise seems to be getting louder as time goes by. Maybe still the tire?... Guess I ought to rotate just to see. ... Could it be Transfer case? Wheel bearing? Seems unlikely with my somewhat low miles.

Any guesses or similar experiences?

Guess I need to get off my butt and rotate the tires.

Thanks, and be careful out there.

Jack up the front end and manually rotate the wheel to get it spinning and listen for the noise. You can also pull and push the tire at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions to feel if there is any play at all on that wheel.

That's about how many miles I had before I had the wheel bearings go. In my case the noise was not too loud but ABS warning light came on. Went through 2 sets in 276,000 miles on my 2001 Yukon XL

Any chance it could be the dust shield backing plate? I once had one warp and make a weird sound when driving as it touched the rotor but not when I manually spun the tire.
I didn't figure it out until the original backing plate was falling apart and flaking off.
