There is no doubt 20's are a little smoother, and 18's even smoother comparing the same overall diameter set-ups. Its absolutely about side wall depth. Its a balance between aesthetics and ride. I personally like the ride better on 22's, but I am more of a truck guy vs. Cadillac guy. Also depends on tires as said earlier in this thread.

Kinda depends on how much sidewall you want too. 22’s on mine looked better IMO.

22’s for anything on the street and 2015+

After the ‘15 revamp the wheel wells are cut differently (larger) as the factory 22” option completes the look.

The 07-14 looks complete with LTZ 20’s

Etc

Out of curiosity, what are the factory tires on the 21’s? 15-20 was 285/45/22 IIRC

20 Silverado TOs for me....I have AT tires and it rides far smoother than my old 03 'hoe on 20" with street tires. I felt like the NBS rode harsher but then again, could be that it was over 15yrs old with more than 250k on the clock...Ran great just not as smooth as the NNBS I have now. Running 275/55/20 Cooper Discover

I've got a 2018 Denali with the 22" rims. From what I've been reading, I need to go with a 20" wheel to use chains, right? I want to make sure before spending that kind of $. Or, is there a better option?

I have a 21 Denali with 22's & I'm looking to go larger (24's) with a 40 series tire. Anyone have 24's on a 21?

In comparison, my 2021 escalade w/26's ride better than my wifes 2019 yukon denali with 22's. Air suspension goes a long ways.
