WTF is this!!! (Picture)

When I bought my hoe used a few of the buttons on the AC control were worn out, so I just bought a new AC control cuz im OCD about having things perfect. when I powered the new one up it shows exterior temperature in the middle of the screen but its not right...I live in TX its about 85 deg when I took this picture.
I think having that feature is cool, so do any of you know the plug and pin number for getting the exterior temp to work...I figure I could just jump from the wire going to the rear view camera to the correct pin on the AC control. If there is no way to get it to work I'm going to have to try and get a refund that I doubt I'll get...
Oh and one more thing, I guess cuz its brand new the color is different so now it makes me want to buy the piece below that has traction control and parking on it....
I'm not to thrilled about all of this, can someone help me out...

my temp shows up on the mirror. Never seen it show up there before?

That's weird ... I have the exact nav/climate control as you but the outside temp/compass show on the dic next to the mileage.

yeah mine shows on the rear view mirror too...the part number for this one was 25936130, which is for a gm truck's and suv's...i was a little pissed at first when I hooked it up, but I think it would be pretty cool to get it working...i just need to find someone that knows what pins are what on the back of this ac controller and the pins on my rear view mirror so I can get it working

I thought all tahoes had it on the rear view mirror...so yours has it on the dic only or does it have it on the mirror as well?

Mine is just on the dic ... my mirror doesn't have anything on it other than the standard on star stuff, but no digital display.

I think they changed a lot of that stuff around in 09 ... what year is yours?

Mine must be too old...mine is a 2008, with a 2010 navigation and now 2011 AC Controls lol...the part does say its for 2009,2010.2011, but I honestly didn't think it would matter, I have never seen anyone with the Automatic AC controls in any gm vehicle have the ext. temp displayed there.

Mmm, btw I'm not certain about the 09+ comment, it's just going on observation so you might wanna double check that.

Really the only reason I decided to get this one over the 2008 ac controller is because the top right button lol...my old said aux and the new one says rear...rear makes more since to have there than aux...dumb reason, i know, and now my ocd is biting me in the rear.

That is a much better look than on the rearview mirror, that looks good...so I guess the NNBS tahoe's have 3 spots to display temp...dic, rear view mirror, and now the Auto AC control...

I guess I will make a trip to the service department tomorrow or monday and see if I can get them to give me or let me buy some wiring diagrams so I can take the wire to the rear view mirror to the ac control, and if not I will try and return this and get the older one....or if someone else needs this one i'll sale it to them for what i paid for it...
