Got my drop done today, in the rain grrrr.

2/3 Ground Force with keys
Airlift 1000 helper bags
New factory bump stops in the front
Free travel mod in the rear

I am very happy with the ride so far, though I wish the rear had lowered a bit more. Maybe it will still settle out some.

Fender measurements
Before:

LF 34 1/4, RF 34 1/8
LR 35 1/4, RR 36 1/4

After:

LF 32 5/8, RF 32 5/8
LR 34 3/8, RR 34 3/8

I really had to mess with the torsion bars to get the side to side measurements even, when I first let the truck down the front was at 31 and 32 1/4!

did you completely cut your bump stops off or take a little bit off? My 06 denali only has about 1/4 inch of travel in the rear so i might cut about 3/4 of an inch off and see how that works out. If need be Ill cut more off

In the rear I completely cut the stop and bracket off. Do a search for free travel mod, there are many posts about it.
The front I installed new factory stops and cut about 1" off of them. (the old ones were torn up)

I am familiar with the free travel mod, however I would like to see how the truck rides with only cutting the bump stop in half before i cut the whole thing off. Right now the front rides like stock with the drop spindles. the rear...not so much due to the little bit of travel. I also have the slelf leveling in the rear so think i might cut the bump stop in half and ride around like that and see how it feels. I also want to adjust the air ride a tad so the truck sits about a 1/2 inch higher.

Sounds like a plan. I figured since I was putting the Airlift kit in the stops were not needed. It was also easier to do it all at once and cut everything out while the springs were out and I had good access.
