hey guys, im trying to improve my ac units functioning. while on ac i have air coming from the vents and the defroster. guessing it has something to do with damper doors but dont know where to start. can yall point me in the right direction? having all the air come out of the vents would be a great help in this heat.

hmm i cant solve your problem, but i do know how to make your AC blow harder.. literally, that wasnt something to be ******. lol

you can start by taking off the glove box door, then remove the fan motor guard(big plastic shield), then take out the fan motor, then up in the left behind when the glovebox would be will be the evaporator.. Usually those are clogged like no other with leaves, dirt and that kind of crap.. you can use degreaser or a toothbrush or water and just make sure you catch all the liquids from hitting your carpet obviously.. unclogging all this will make your AC/blower blow way harder and like factory again.. good luck to your other problem, sorry i couldnt help!

The same thing happened to me with my 05 LT. The first time the dealer updated the software and the problem was cured. The next time I reset the HVAC system by removeing the two fuses from the fuse panel on the driver side dash. Otherwise I had to manually set the air flow location a few times then push auto to get it to work properly. I forget the fuse numbers, they're one on top of the other, but the owner's manual has a diagram of the fuse panel in that location.

I'm in the process of trying to get my AC going again and one of the problems I am having is the same as your's !

If I have any luck I will let you know but I'm thinking something went in a vent and is blocking a blender door from fully operating...

Now....back to ordering a new compressor, accumulator and orifice tube....
