Debating between Yukon XL SLT or Suburban LTZ. Equipped exactly the same the LTZ is about $2,000 more and has these additional features:

- HID (Factory better than retrofitting Halogen projectors)
- Console with Doors (same as Denali)
- Magnetic Ride
- Bose Centerpoint vs. Standard Bose... (anyone have an idea of the difference here?)
- Available 20s for only $900 more (If I bought a Yukon I would order with 18s and put on 22s or maybe 24s of my choice with the money I save)

So the question is:
- Are those features worth the money... Mostly Magnetic Ride. I have only driven an SLT there are no LTZ or Denali locally right now so it is hard to get an idea of the magnetic ride vs standard suspension.
- What looks better... General consensus seems to be the GMC; but, I go back and forth.

My color options are Grey or Black Here are some sample vehicles (these do not have the options I would order... but give you the general idea).

Grey SLT

Grey LTZ

Black LTZ 22s

I have been debating this; so, I just figured I would get some other opinions to confuse me even more!

my feelings is the tahoe ltz thats what I'm going to get the difference in price is not warranted to me real wood and real aluminum not that serious to me.....i just think the tahoe looks better my opinion though in person the tab on headlights is not a factor at all honestly its a bunch of nitpicking to me so there my choice would be the burb.....also engine difference in denali not a factor to me either won't be towing much...

We went thru the same debate. Yukon XL SLT with 22's won. We chose the 22" chrome 6 spoke GMC accessory wheel (SEZ) that's in the brochure.
Two reasons:
1. The flip up doors in the console are useless and in the way.
2. Magnetic ride control seems pointless with the trailer tow package.
Oh, and I don't think the LTZ gets the real wood and aluminum, only the Denali.
Also, our non center point bose or whatever its called sounds really good.
Also, our SLT headlights illuminate better than anything I have ever owned, maybe the others are awesome, but these are great.
Besides that, side by side, we like the Yukon front design better, it just seems to flow better with the lines of it. Chevy is a giant chrome smiley face. That's opinion of course.

Color match is what I was thinking as well if I went Suburban. I would try to make it look more like the Black Concept:

The current vote is:
1 - GMC
3 - Chevy

HAARubicon: How much did you pay for those wheels? I found one SLT with the same wheels but with the black inserts and they wanted to charge me $3,800 for them. Which I thought was insane. They also we not going to provide me the stock 18s which I would also be paying for... So I told them to pound sand.

Here is the truck:

Maybe this will help. The Dealer added the chrome side molding today.

Wheels were a negotiated item, half price at $2000. I ordered it with base wheels, so the net cost vs. the upgrade wheels was I think $300.00 more.

Price is really pretty comparable if similarly equipped. But they way they have the packages there is really no way to equip them exactly the same. The model levels go like this:

Chevy LS - cloth and the ridiculous small radio screen
GMC SLE - cloth but 8" entertainment system
Chevy LT - leather (without cooled seats) but without push start and the warning systems unless you get lux package
GMC SLT - basically the same as LT chevy with the lux package but with cooled seats
Chevy LTZ - basically the same as SLT but add mag ride and xenon headlights and a few other small things
GMC Denali - add big motor and customized guage display and available head up display.

I'm sure I missed a few things; but, these are the main differences

I was in between the Tahoe LTZ and SLT and while the headlights and mag ride were a big feature the price difference made me go SLT. Also, the Tahoe front end looks a bit too big and goofy in my opinion. I like the more conservative look of the gmc looks higher scale than the Chevy
