Needed to get rid of my automatic running boards. They just weren’t consistently functional in Montana snow and ice. Jammed up probably 50% of the winter. Swapped them for z71 running boards and threw some Gatorback mudflaps on it to help keep snow and ice off the stationary boards. Pretty happy with the result!

Looks very nice! What brand are those roof rack crossbars? I like the low profile and flat profile.

Thanks! They are the Thule wingbar Evo 150cm. You also need to get the “Evo Flush Rail Fit Kit 6117” to have them attach to the factory roof rails.

This is what I am looking to do as well on my '23 Yukon XL. how did you overcome fitment issues going from 2 point mount on power assist steps to 4 point mount on the Z71 steps?

Also, how is the computer handling the retractable steps missing? No alarms, chimes or errors?

steps should be able to be turned off, so unplugging them shouldn't matter (turning them off would also prevent winter issue's)
as far as mountng all you need is brackets and bolts the body mounting points are the same on all trims.

I also replaced electric steps with stationary ones. But I took from ESV Escalade.
