Is this a legit question?? If it is, then why not, I would like to see your install...

I will however say I am confused by the title and the gay flag...

Lol yeah it was a legit question ... just figured everyone would say a racing seat in a Tahoe is gay so ...

It'll be helpful for anyone putting in a custom seat I bet. I'll post up the pics tonite.

Edit: That is the end result, the drivers seat was pretty beat. I think the last guy transported baby rhinoceroses in the truck on the weekends.

Edit2: Pay no attention to the mess!! LOL

I wanted NBS seats but no one locally had them in matching colors, for decent prices, etc, etc. So I just went with a new seat, it's a Summit branded seat.

My old seat was trashed:

New seat in my living room:

The old seat bracket actually BROKE:

Thus I removed the seat and bracket as a whole:

Seat vs Seat:

The "temp" brackets actually line up pretty well ...

Line them up, take some measurements, drill some holes ...

The head of the bolt actually fits in the rail and is held snugly making this install go pretty smooth ...

More leg room then the OE seats:

The end product:

It is a TAD lower then the OE seat, this pic was in the middle position up front and all the way down in the back, with both front and rear all the way up it's not bad. My seat has been stuck "up" for a bit now so maybe that is part of it. I did say these brackets are temp brackets. I plan on fixing my old brackets and mounting the seat minus the slider to the OE seat mounts. My welder is .. err ... on the fritz. LOL Once that is fixed I'll redo them and probably update this ... This seat and bracket was less then $200. Summit has a few different colors, these also have "infinitely" adjustable recline and the release that will let you lean them forward quickly. Not a big deal an 4 door but still ... I'll do the other seat in a few weeks (after the holidays) and that will get mounted to the OE bracket. The end plan is to pull the console and run a floor shifter as well. :D

Over all it was easy, took lil less then an hour.
