The thread title states easy hid retrofit.....and essentially that has not occurred.....yet

Just sayin
Actually, it is pretty easy. If you have any mechanical inclination at all you can have both lights done in about an hour or less. You pretty much just un-mount the stock projector, use an adapter, and mount the Morimoto projector.

Only took 23 posts and someone other than the OP to see results....

It is pretty easy with the adapters and those projectors. The OP ordered his actual lights from DDM, which means he's waiting for them to come all the way from China. So yeah, they were cheaper than TRS kits, but God only knows when they'll show up and what condition they'll be in when they get there.

Ri22o: Looks like you've got it done, so what's the throw like with those? I know in the early versions of the mini's the throw was pretty poor, but I'm not sure about the later versions.

In his defense, he tried to link to some posts on another forum, but wasn't successful in doing it due to filters.

Here is an HID Planet link that will hopefully work. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?45993-Morimoto-Projectors-into-2003-Denali-Housings

I ordered the projectors for this retrofit and for my STi retrofit from TRS and they showed up in just a matter of days. They may have cost a little more, but it was worth getting them that quickly.

I have nothing to complain about with them. They are much better than the stock Denali lights (especially considering when I bought them the reflector bowls were burnt out).

actually that does look pretty easy but the only thing that concerns me is the baking of the light.....I got brand new lights and last time I tried this (03 maxima when it was new) I could never reseal driver properly causing it to leak constantly :(

(unless these need no baking?)

No baking required-just tools and swapping the projectors-that is why it is the easy retrofit ;)

Yup, easy-peasy. Take out OEM projector. Screw on adapter plate. Screw new projector into place on adapter plate. Wire.

You are good to go.

Make my retro look, well, retro....

Are those Bi-xenon, too? If so, then DAMMIT, why couldn't this have been an option a few years ago?? lol
