First of all I'm so glad I found this forum thanks to another member here…he can make himself known if he so chooses. He PM'd me from another forum to come visit and I haven't looked back. btw, the Suburban section seems really dead so hope you don't mind if I hang out here! :)

I only wanted a Chevy or GMC and it was going to be my first SUV/truck. Always loved the NBS body style and have driven a few in the past on long trips with a full load. Needless to say, I've been looking since last year for a family hauler now that we have a toddler in tow plus both my wife and I have big families. The original intent was to have an "inconspicuous" Suburban, according to my wife, as she doesn't like anything too flashy when she's driving. ;) So, I was really only looking for OEM versions. This additional ride would really only be driven on long trips or to haul visiting family around town.

Exactly 1-month ago the search ended. I picked up this 2002 Burb 1500 (72K orig miles) and I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, the owner was in an urgent need to sell due to monetary reasons….quite fortunate for us. Since he's an enthusiast like myself, even before seeing the ride in-person I could tell he really babied this Burb. It is CLEAN! For some reason, the wife had a complete change of heart and loved this ride...it was probably due to the full blown entertainment system inside. :waytogo: I saw the ad the same day it was posted, we went to see it the next day AND picked it up that same day.

The engine was left unmodded but I did change out the air filter to a K&N for now (still debating on a CAI and/or supercharger for the future). Also changed out the filthy cabin air filters to the Bosch activated carbons. Got it recently detailed by the pros and picked up some Lloyd mats. Immediate needs are to add a BBK for better stopping power and to free up the cargo area, redoing the two rear 12W7's plus enclosure. Leaning towards the 13TW5-3 flat subs and installing them in the rear side panels.

Looking forward to learn a lot more here and to contribute what I can. Anyways, enough chatter, here are a few photos I took….

I said this on your other thread as well but that is one sexy Burb dude!!! I'm loving it and I love that dark blue color! :) Looks similar to what I have on my 77 C-10 :waytogo:

Welcome to the forums! And damn that is one sleek burb. It reminds me of something Chip Foose would build, it's his kinda style I like it!
