I'll be buying the DDM slim 9005 hid kit for my headlights and the H16 kit for the foglights and have a couple of questions.

do i need to buy the adapter harness or error eliminator?

i think 8k 35w looks the best, what does everyone else think?

should i do brighter fogs or the same in the fogs and headlights?

anyone want to share pics?

Me too ... why would you put HID bulbs in reflector housings for which they are not designed and will produce too much glare?

Yes you need harness, no you don't need error eliminator.

If you want to rice your ride up, not interested in seeing at night, and enjoy getting pulled over, then those will be perfect.

should i do brighter fogs or the same in the fogs and headlights?

I agree with Soulsea. 100% waste of money to put an 8K 35w kit into a stock housing. Do it right, get some projectors, and run a reasonable color close to a true light output that you'll benefit from.

Throwing on some blue headlights serves no purpose other than to make guys with $2500 Honda's say "cool."

---edited--- nevermind, long day..

if you have money do a retro of the lows w/ 6k and you will benefit both you and others, as being able to see 100x better.

otherwise, look at pics serge posted below for comparison of projector vs non projector

I'm sorry Mike but the only way you are getting blinded by oem hid projectors is over hills if they don't have self leveling ... and the same would happen with stock halogen bulbs.

In any case, I'm not going to go be that guy on TYF, going around Hid naziing.

So to conclude:

Hid retrofit on the left, Hid bulbs in reflector housing on the right and fogs:

That is all.

And OP, I pride myself on being a courteous person, although admittedly I sometimes fail in this regard when those that expect courtesy are the same who extend none to other drivers by slapping PnP hids.

Anyhoot, apologies for the snarkiness ... proceed as you must.

Disregard me serge, ive just been arguing w/ folks all day. :Handshake: nothing against you, your a great guy, or anyone, just stating what i see.

should of never said anything.

But i do have one question in regards to housings and hids. How come the 06/05 etc NBS escalades w/ the hid option are in the same exact housings as the ones w/ stock halogen lights?
