Hope this helps some people. Made a quick video last night of my headlights on a twisty road out in the middle of nowhere.

The night before I almost hit some deer but was able to see them in time thanks to my headlight setup.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Those look good. Pretty impressive output for non-HID projectors.

That looks really good. Maybe I will upgrade to a 55watt setup. I have the 35w setup currently thru my stock Denali projectors and the light output is just OK. I was concerned about heat and possibly melting my housings-how is the heat?

That's my setup.

I have driven for 5+ hours with my headlights on. If I touch the outside it's only luke warm. Nowhere near close to melting anything.

HID's up here are actually kind of annoyingly cool-running. Even the 55w ones. Normally, if you're driving in heavy snow, the heat from the light is enough to melt the snow off the lens. With HID's, if it's snowing hard and really sticky snow, it'll just pack on the lens. I've had to actually pull over and wipe the snow off a couple of times because it's just not melting off.

Unless it's a really small enclosure, I'm totally convinced that heat is a non-issue for HID's. Some projectors are small and the heat is very concentrated, so you do need to make sure the projector can take it. The Blazer fog projectors, for example, are notoriously bad for 50w HID's because they just bake the reflective coating inside. But they are tiny projectors.
