I have a 2009 Yukon XL with 270k miles. I decided around 90k miles to keep our vehicle as long as possible and keep up on routine maintenance, fix problems immediately as they came up, and save for big repairs (engine, transmission, etc)
I’m glad we did this - the prices of newer vehicles...

Today I pushed my cruise control “set button” only to discover it stopped working.
I’d really appreciate your advice for fixing it! We do a lot of long road trips, and cruise control is a game changer for us.

This is the key question! Thank you for teasing it out. This is what I asked of my mechanic: that the Derale be “plumbed in series after the fluid-to-fluid cooler in the radiator” after having read about that on this forum.
….that said, I never visually confirmed this was done correctly after...
I mounted the Derale 13960 passenger side of the radiator, as far left as I could get it. Here’s a picture.
Maybe that’s the culprit. Maybe I should have mounted it on lower bumper?!
My model didn’t come with a cooler, so I mounted one to the passenger side of the radiator.
Do you suspect the heat coming off the cooler/slightly blocking the radiator impacted the performance of the radiator and led to higher trans temps?
