Admittedly, I was imagining enormously huge tires for 4.88.
The shift strategy curves need more attention with more assertive axles, but I get that it eventually becomes shift-confused / shift-happy.

In NYC I'll likely never get to do much if any offroading.
Please consider my jealousy a compliment, and may all the air you ever catch be caught with velvet gloves.

I just bought a 2019 z71 - I have a 3.42 rear axle and just went up in tire size to 275/70/18 (33s). I agree with what was said here - I wouldn’t go much bigger than 33 without regearing.

I just tuned mine with a canned superchips tune, and it really livened things up. It also allowed me to turn off afm and raise the idle.
