anybody run LED headlights in a winter state? Curious because my one headlight burned out and I noticed it was snowy and frozen over. The other headlight was all melted and clear. Just wondering if an LED headlight would put enough heat off to melt the snow in winter time?

Vote for the sliverstars as well. I have used the Ultras in the past and could tell a pretty good difference. The PnP HID stuff is garbage and dangerous for the others that drive around you. The standard housings are made for the standard halogen bulbs and how they reflect light. When you throw the PnP HID kits in there they are not reflecting the light the way they should. Ultimately you get flashed every other car bc even though your headlights may be aligned right and your low beams on the PnP kits are too basically throwing the lights in all directions with no real beam of light set to a point. Which is how they are supposed to be. The link above directs to other websites that have all the info on the REAL HID kits and how to do it right.

In all I will always be against the PnP HID kits when people are just throwing them in their standard housing headlights. I will be the guy flashing you as many times as I can when you are passing me if I see that you are running those. No offense just common courtesy. Other thing that drives me crazy is people with lifts that do not align their headlights right. KILLS ME! On top of that are the people with lifts and these PnP HID kits. When I see them I want to throw my drink or anything I can out the window while I pass them on the road.

If you wanna go PnP LED headlights, Im running lifetime LED headlights High output lights that put out 3250 lumens, however they are on the expensive side, about $250. The cheaper one runs $185 I think and it puts out 2000 lumens I think. The brightness is very noticeable compared to regular headlights to the point where people in front of me thinking im driving around with my high beams on. So it just depends on how bright you want your headlights. A word of caution though, sometimes the headlight may flicker but if it recurs, lifetimeled replaces it. But personally im switching back to regular headlights, most likely silverstars because I don't want to get pulled over by cops thinking im driving with my high beams on or piss anyone off for blinding them. Also there are headlights that lifetimeled sells that can fit in the fog light, it is ridiculously bright if your interested in that.

can you please link?^

Sure, man. Read this. http://www.finemotoring.com/

The bulbs are readily available at most parts stores for around $20-$25 apiece. Very similar to stock color temp @ around 3500K. Same 55W as 9005/9006 bulbs, so no additional heat is generated. No ballasts, no relays, no wiring. Minor modification to the tabs on the bulb base are required to fit in 9005/9006 sockets, as such:

Out of the package:

Yup. They're OEM bulbs for other newer rides, so OEM dependability and plug and play. I have a full HID setup with relay harness and spare ballasts, 6000K IIRC. I'll never install any of it.
