I have a rear engine oil leak.
I have changed the Oil pressure switch.
Installed a new O ring on the Cam Positioning prob.
Replaced the Oil pan Gasket
replaced the rear main seal and seal plate.

And still have an oil leak what could it be leaking at.

Engine is a 5.3

Go to the parts store and get an oil additive that is a dye. Run your engine, look for the dye.

I just crawled under the Car and had it running it pulled the inspection cover off the bell housing and I can see the oil running down the back of the oil pan.

But only when the car is running so it need to be under pressure for it to leak.

I ran the car for a little bit after changing out the rear main seal and plate and didn't leak drove it for a little bit did not leak now it leaking.

I think I know why it is leaking.

By watching other replace there Rear main seal and rear gasket on the rear main seal cover on (U Tube) they say after you get the oil pan gasket to torque loosen up the cover plate bolts on the engine block so it can drop and torque the block bolts.

I thinking the cover plate side down doing what others have said to do and now the seal is elongated.

I already purchased a new seal and have the trans almost ready to pull out again lesson learned what not to do.

I should have trans out tomorrow in a hour or so and back in then cross my fingers.

Went for a 100 mile trip no leaks

Don't do what the person said to do on U Tube it will leak.

If you remove the Main seal cover plate to change out the seal and gasket as I did.

Install the seal on the Main seal cover off the motor install the cover and seal at the same time let the seal self center it self tighten the cover bolt to 18 Ft pounds.

Then torque the long bolts that go through the oil pan to 109 Inch pounds.

Have fun it not a bad job the first time I took it apart lot over torqued bolts or stuck bolts so it was a fight to get it apart the second time it was a breeze.

I torqued just about everything lock tie every thing that's needed to be also put anti size on the sparkplugs I know it done right this piece of mind for me knowing it done right.

And the former owner must believed in German torque Good and Tight.
