I went from an 06 Z71 Tahoe to a 17 Tahoe Premier. The 06 was bullet proof, no issues just wear items. It had the best a/c in a vehicle that I ever owned.
The 17 has been pretty good. We took 3 trips to Florida (I’m here now). We also drove to Arizona this past January.
I do change the oil more frequently, I also have changed the transmission fluid when I bought it by years ago and after the Arizona trip.
My only issue is GM stopped supporting the nav update. I can always use my apple phone but why would GM offer factory navigation and then stop supporting map updates.

There was a nav update released last year.

The update USB has been sold out for some time. I know I can use Android Auto but I like things in my vehicle to work properly. I would love to have the update.

Not anymore. I contacted GM last year and was put on a waiting list. I just checked this past week and the message was
‘There are no longer map updates available for purchase for your navigation system via this website or at GM dealerships
Thank you”
That’s on the GM Navigation store

@tuckerrnr1 thats bloody inconvenient. If it makes y’all feel better, I end up using my phone or tablet more often. It’s more accurate.

For long trips I use the dash nav for the end points and wild ass incorrect arrival time. For routing through or around intermediate points, the phone is much much better.

I agree
I do the same
Where I live there are new roads and a new highway so when I’m using the gps it shows that I’m driving through farmers fields. :Big Laugh:
To bad GM won’t support it after 5 years

Heh!

The funny part is going through a small town. Highway goes straight through, no turns or junctions, BUT the nav has you turning and going all over town. It's as if the chamber of commerce sent them a contribution to get you to every business in town.

I am speaking for Escalade. I had the 2008 for 14 years and now I have a 2018 which I owned for 2 1/2 years now. The 2018 has the 10-speed which gets 20-30% better mpg. The digital cluster is amazing and could be configured. I love all the USB ports, HD radio, Bluetooth audio, CUE, CarPlay, 4g wi-fi, built-in pandora and AA. The headlights are beautiful and show great at night. You don’t need to turn on the fog lights because the headlights covers that. The build quality is so much better. The 360 camera and nice side mirrors is great. The safety features with vibrating seat, lane keep, auto parking, auto brakes, lane alert is amazing. The auto cruise and heads-up display makes you feel your flying a jet. The only thing I didn’t like was the 2nd row door cup holders but a member 3D printed some great ones that he sells that attaches to the center armrest back. The storage is much better in the doors. I love that I was able to add OEM the side mirror Batman lights that shows the Cadillac logo on the ground at night. Auto up and down windows for all doors and the truck is super quiet and sound proofed. The BOSE center-point 16 speaker system is awesome. I love that there is a switch that turns on and off the automatic wipers so you can keep the delay wipers on in the snow. The 420 hp gets you going fast. You can lock the glove box and storage behind the radio with the keypad. The keyless start and open is awesome. I can keep my iPod connected in the hidden storage and browse my library through the cluster and it has voice command. The interior quality is better too. There is a battery powered alarm siren, motion detector, and tow lift alarm that will alert your phone. The OnStar app shows you much more details about the truck and you can child lock the rear doors with a button next to the mirrors. Telescopic electric 4-way steering is really good and wireless phone charger. You have tour, sport and winter mode that controls the 3rd gen magnetic ride which is really responsive and comfortable. Did you know the 2007-2014 didn’t come with a cabin filter or direct injection?

I have the 2022 but you can get the 2023 installed into your module from whites automotive & media services for $50. They don’t even have the 2024 for the current gen.
