I just bought the oem cross rails for my 24’ Tahoe Z71. I will not be leaving them on. At normal drive height setting the bars will not clear my garage. I can go to the lowest setting and make it in no problem but what if I forget to lower the suspension before driving in? I’m not going to roll...
L9 = Engine Braking when I lift off the go pedal. It’s already a habit for me to hit drive and then L ++++++++ when going for a drive. Engine stays a V8 and comes to a stop just like my 03 Silverado 5.3 did.
Range caused an engine light and was put back in the box and sent back to Holley.
I Tried the Range DFM and it set off the engine light as well as causing some other strange issues. I’ll stick with L9 for a while and keep reading reviews on Carbyte. Range AFM was flawless on my 15’ Vette plugging into OBDII so I figured the DFM would be cool too but piggybacking into the ECM...
Just put a Flowmaster Super 40 on my 24’ Z71 Tahoe. This was just a muffler swap, still have the OEM quad tips out back. It has a nice cold start and low growl while driving. I’m pleased that there is close to 0 drone on the highway. It’s a little funky at times with cylinder deactivation but L9...
I went with a Flowmaster Super 40 and keep it in L9. I couldn’t be happier for a $400 job from my local exhaust shop.
Mine is 2024 Tahoe z71 6.2L that came with dual (dual tip) tailpipes.
OP, That’s great that you are happy with your setup, that’s really all that matters.
Thanks for the responses. I’ll be trying out the Basket with the bag in February. If it doesn’t meet the needs for long distance travel I’ll pick up that Thule XXL for a 4k round trip from Cali to Washington coming up in April.
I picked up this kit for my recently purchased 2024 Z71 Tahoe. Anybody else try this setup using OEM Crossbars? I’ll post a review after I use this setup for a Tahoe snow trip I’m taking in February. It took a ton of research to come up with what I think will fulfill my needs. Please post pics...
Some solid lifters, a nice cam, and the ecm from my 03 Silverado would make for a setup that could easily clock 300k miles. Chevy should have stayed away from the deactivation trash. I’ll keep a warranty on it and keep my fingers crossed while I keep fresh, clean oil in it.
I’ll run the L9 for now. I’ll see how that works and sounds after I get my Flowmaster 40 installed on 1/6/25.
Carbyte would be another option I’m still considering.
I hate to be that guy but here’s my experience. I got the Range DFM this morning and installed as directed. First drive was cool, auto stop was disable and it was staying in V8 mode. I went for a 2nd trip for gas and when I re-started the truck I had an engine light. I came home and pulled the...
