Solved. New fuel pump, hard start.

Funny that you post the advert of the lift. I was planning on backing it up onto ramps to be able to pull out the tank. It think i only need to raise the truck about 8-10 inches to be able to drag the tank free past the lowest points. My other option is to jack the truck up from the rear (heh)...

Solved. New fuel pump, hard start.

Going to be doing my fuel pump soon. Anything else I should check or change while I have the tank out?

    Gas in fill neck vent

yes did the vent when i got the codes but before i noticed the gas. Also did charcoal at the same time. No noticable pellets in lines too Also to note the vent code never pops up, it only shows as pending from time to time but never sticks. The P0451 is the one that actually becomes CEL.

    Gas in fill neck vent

Hi all I am trouble shooting a P0446 intermittent pending and persistant P0451 code on a 2010 Escalade ESV. I went to disconnect the rubber vent hose that attaches to the fill neck from the the plastic hose that terminates to the gas tank and noticed gasoline in the lines. The amount varies...

    More RPM issues and Stalling

Shortly after writing this i suspected that the evap purge valve was stuck open or at fault. I replaced it and had no issues for a month. After another issue I deceided to put in a new OEM throttle body and did both pairs of 02 sensors. The truck was good for about another month or two but in...

    Broken Motor Mounts

I am going to be doing both sides on a 2010 Escalade ESV. Is pushing up on the cats better than the rear side of the oil pan? Both seem risky. Oil pan/pickip deformation and damaging the pan seal vs craking the exhaust tubing and shearing the flange bolts. Which is best in terms of lowest risk...

    More RPM issues and Stalling

I noticed that too and didnt know enough if TB command was from ECU or faulty. 2010 ESV 105K miles (i should have added) also superimposed scaled RPM onto TB position for comparison. I just dont know if the TB is commanded to move as a way to regain control or if it is the fault causing the stall.

    More RPM issues and Stalling

A while back I posted a thread about a rare event that only happens within 5-10 of cold start. The event occurs randomly; sometimes twice a week and sometimes once in several months. I thought i had corrected the issue but it has now reoccured two days in a row and worse than before. A bit...

    Intermittent service brakes soon

Would the message go away immediately after unplugging or would it take 5-10 min? I tried last time and it stayed on but i didnt wait long before plugging it back in. I scanned the owners manual and it has this nugget of wisdom: SERVICE BRAKES SOON This message displays if there is a problem...

    Intermittent service brakes soon

I have been waiting on the message to re-occur. Oddly it has not happened since posting here.

    Intermittent service brakes soon

I have been randomly getting 'service brakes soon' message on DIC for a 2010 escalade esv while normal driving/not towing. Message only comes up every few days so far. Brake fluid looks good and level is steady. No noticable exterior dot3 leaks around master cylinder. I pulled, cleaned, and re...

    Trasmission leak at output/prop shaft

Job is fairly easy to do. I got lazy and did it on the ground with out lifting the rear wheels. Some advice that wasn't stated above: -I took the seal to the hardware store and found a PVC plumbing fitting that was the right size to help drive it in. - I needed a 11mm box or crow's foot for the...

    Trasmission leak at output/prop shaft

Thank you, this is the info I needed. Any idea on torque values and use of loctite?

    Trasmission leak at output/prop shaft

I just got my truck back from a rear main seal replacement and now i notice a trans leak at the output shaft seal. I figure this one is easy, just disconnect at the u-joint, pull out and replace? Are there any special tools, consumables, other things I should replace while i am in the process...
