Does the part number have to match?

Give these guys a shout … It has all the GM xRef #’s as well as the Hollander # that will potentially x Ref the same part to Ford or Dodge trucks. http://midatlanticcore.com/?page_id=1315 Use control + F on a desktop once you’re on their page to search your TCCM #

    A brake job rabbit hole

That’s a deep dive. Those tid bits of information were like watching an episode of How it’s Made. Don’t forget you’ve got model matching parts from the same model year 2500 Silverado & Sierra pick ups

    2008 Tahoe LT VCIM Swap

Hell yes, that’ll help owners without Navi set ups adding BT VCIM to the trucks. Your hands probably look like you fed em to a chihuahua for a manicure. GM left a lot of raw cut edges inside the dash. Nice work on disassembling the puzzle.

    2008 Tahoe LT VCIM Swap

Whoa, a 2010 VCIM with the 3rd post for the clip on BT antenna. Those are not common. Yup, that’s a direct swap for the one in your truck. Here’s the how to for accessing the VCIM. I haven’t been inside the dash of a truck with just a radio yet. It’s easiest if you can get the entire front...

    Private Sell vs Dealership Trade-In

Autotrader private seller. Used them prior to being called TRED. It sells your vehicle nationwide, does the dmv, title, brokers payment to you, offers financing & extended warranty. Nicest thing is that their portal allows you to screen all the bs’rs out. Since the payment is brokered it...

Aluminum / XFE NNBS Front Suspension Rebuild

Thanks for the solid. I’ll have the Indi cram some grease in em before they go in. In my apprenticeship we were taught to assume no bearing ever comes greased. The maint logs in machine rooms were your judge & jury.

Are the Dual Piston Rear Calipers noticeably better?

Oh yea, if your calipers are sticking replace the brake lines with stainless braided as previously mentioned. Just before they burst they collapse on themselves and hold enough pressure to allow the pads to drag.

    LEATHER SEATCOVER SWAP

Gotcha, make sure you order the foam specifically for the vented seats and DO NOT throw away the old foams. You’ll need to swap the ventilation channels inside the old foam to the new. It’s a part you can not buy.

Are the Dual Piston Rear Calipers noticeably better?

At least you’ve got the option with the 18’s to add C7 non-Z51 Calipers (Part Numbers) with adapters. You’d also still be able to install x drilled & slotted OE rotors with the C7 kit.
