Lastly (for now lol), I received my Wolfbox G900 Pro, which I preordered a few weeks ago. My rear window has 5% tint and I often fill the back of the Tahoe with stuff anyway, so I can never see anything with my rear view mirror. This will fix that problem. I'm going to mount it high on the...

We also installed the driver's side short tube header. We did a bunch of work on that side of the motor a couple of months ago. There had been a broken bolt in the head that had to be extracted with a TIG welder. Well, unfortunately we found the same issue on the passenger side, so we were...

WOW! The ride quality is exponentially better after installing these new rear springs! I guess I didn't realize how worn out the old ones were, and how much that was affecting the ride. It's a night and day difference. What's more, the front was sitting about 1.25" higher than the rear after...

I ended up snagging those Airlift 1000 helper bags from Amazon. I'm going to have a shop in Nutley install the heavy duty springs tomorrow, but I went ahead and put the bags inside the springs in preparation. That was one hell of a chore.

New carbon fiber/leather steering wheel by AZA installed today. Used the same airbag but I replaced buttons on both sides while I had the wheel off. 12 o’clock display connects to OBD2 via Bluetooth for all vehicle stats and colored LED RPM indicator.

Whoa, I didn't know that was a thing! DO you have any that you recommend? That just adds support, right? Do you know what the effect is on the ride?

I'm in Miami all week, but when I get back to Jersey, I'm installing those heavy duty rear springs lol. Also going to install the shorty headers. Then I'm taking the trailer out to Missouri to pick up my new-to-me MG Midget. In the mean time, check out this silly looking squat lol

6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

I took some video of Shawn with Powertrain Swap Solutions explaining his platform and process. I'll post that ASAP.

6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

Yep, we did not change the torque converter. Used the stock one in my Tahoe. Took a low mileage 2021 10 speed trans and installed it with the Powertrain Swap Solutions electronics kit. No tune was needed. All turnkey work took about a day and a half and cost $7,500 out the door for everything.

6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

So everything went great with the 6 > 10 transmission swap. I really love it–it shifts quickly, stays in the useful power band; definitely happy with it. I got about 15 MPG on the 1500 mile trip from Delaware to Texas, and i got 17+. mpg on the way home. I got some video with Shawn at...

All of the long tubes I looked at required at least minimal modification to make them fit. I was having trouble finding a shop that could/wanted to do it on my tight timeline. The shorties are a direct bolt-in and should take far less time to install, so I will try to make that time to do it...

When we replaced a manifold gasket last week, we found that the driver's side exhaust manifold is bent, so still leaking. That was the perfect excuse to install long tube headers, so I started looking for a shop to do that work (I do not have nearly enough time for a job like that myself). It...
