You do need an alingment tool. Especially if the oil pan was removed. This is what I used when I did the AFM delete on my Burb.

You should have higher pressure off the pump.... But if that relief valve that's inside the pan is bad, it will dump your oil pressure...

From reading what you posted, it sounds like you reused the o-ring? I hope not.... If you did, pull the pan and replace it. Look online...
